‘Life Again’ to vie at Italian film event

The 22nd Religion Today Film Festival in Italy has scheduled to screen Iranian feature film ‘Life Again’.

The 22nd Religion Today Film Festival in Italy has scheduled to screen Iranian feature film ‘Life Again’.  

Directed by Reza Fahimi, the 80-minute flick will be in competition at this year edition of the film event.

The film narrates the story of an elderly couple who live alone together. The husband insists on both of them to move to a nursing home but the wife resists the idea. Once they finally decide to move to the facility, their son Amir, who lives abroad, calls and tells them and he and his wife are on visiting them soon.

Amir and his wife lose their lives in a car crash and what remains of them is their infant daughter who will be the elderly couple’s new reason to live.

Golab Adineh, Shams Langroudi, Raha Khodayari, Khalaf Alvani, Akhtar Khoshkenar and Ayeh Moqaddam are the cast members of the flick.

‘Life Again’ has already won awards at the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania and the Golden Rooster Festival in China.

Founded in 1997, the Religion Today Film Festival was “the first event of its kind dedicated to dialogue between cinema and religions”, according the gala’s website.

The 22nd Religion Today Film Festival is slated for October 2-10, 2019.
